New changes in Project Flow

What's improved this week

This update makes your reports easier to use and fixes a number of smaller problems. In short:

  • Dates in downloaded reports now look the way you have set them up.
  • Large reports open faster.
  • You get a clear message if you try to delete a price list that is still in use.
  • Project owners can now assign planned hours to the right person themselves.
  • Several errors in reports, invoices, absence and planning have been fixed.

Changes

Dates in downloaded reports now match your company's date format

Why? Your chosen date format was only used on screen. When you downloaded a report, the dates looked different, and users in for example Sweden had to change them by hand every time.

What's changed? Reports you download to Excel or PDF now use your company's date format. This applies to finance, project, CRM, absence and time reports. In Excel, the dates are now real dates, so you can sort and calculate with them straight away.

Where to find it? In any report you download to Excel or PDF. The date format is set in your company settings.

Large reports open faster

Why? Reports with many rows used to load everything at once. This could feel slow, especially for larger companies.

What's changed? The reports now show one page at a time, so they open faster. Sorting, filtering, grouping and totals work exactly as before. Downloads to Excel and PDF still contain the full result.

Where to find it?

  • Overtime and Absence reports
  • Contacts, Customers and Offers reports
  • Quality System reports (Checklist, Risk, Nonconformities and Evaluations)

A clearer message when you delete a price list that is in use

Why? If you tried to delete a price list that was still used in a project (including closed projects), you got a technical error message that did not say what to do.

What's changed? You now get a plain message saying the price list is used in one or more projects. To delete it, first remove it from those projects.

Where to find it? Settings > Pricelists.

Project owners can assign planned hours to the right person

Why? Project owners without company-wide access could not replace a placeholder (an unnamed co-worker) with a real team member in the Project Plan.

What's changed? The "Resource planning" permission can now also be given at project level. This means project owners can assign planned hours to an actual co-worker themselves.

Where to find it? In the Project Plan.

New functions

Set the status of expenses from other systems

This is mainly relevant if your company connects Moment to other systems through an integration (iPaaS). If you don't, you can skip this part.

Why? Until now, other systems could only look up expenses by status. They could not change the status.

What's new? Connected systems can now set the status of an expense when they create or update it. The statuses are: draft, submitted, approved, rejected and invoiced. They match the status you see in Moment. If a system sends a status that is not supported, it gets the message "Using a not supported status".

Where to find it? In the iPaaS expense connection.

Bug fixes

These were problems that have now been fixed. The numbers are for reference only.

Reports

  • #1030 - Missing projects in the Company hour report: Projects with planned hours but no registered time were missing from the table, even though they were counted in the total. They now appear in the table.
  • #994 - Missing columns in the Billable time report: The Excel download left out some columns that were visible on screen. All visible columns are now included.
  • #1034 - Too many users in the Time balance download: The Excel download included users who were hidden on screen. The download now matches what you see on screen.
  • #1994 - Absence statistics taking too long: For companies with a lot of data, the overview could stop before it finished loading. It now loads faster and more reliably.

Invoices and offers

  • #2015 - Moving several invoices to another customer: Moving many invoices at once could cause an error. This now works.
  • #1980 - Saving offers: Saving an offer could fail if the offer status integration was switched on. Offers now save as they should.
  • #1977 - Exchange rate on expenses from other systems: The exchange rate was calculated wrongly when an expense came in with an amount in the company currency. This is now correct.

Absence and planning

  • #1041 - Absence type "Education deduction from own pool": It was possible to save this absence type without a percentage, which later caused errors. The percentage is now required.
  • #1019 - Resource Planner, monthly view: The monthly view did not open when sorting was chosen. It now works, and co-workers are listed alphabetically by first name. You can switch between Weekly and Monthly with sorting on.
